The Meadows Elementary School (formerly The Meadows Intermediate School) is a public school in DeSoto, Texas (USA). It is part of the DeSoto Independent School District an is located at 1016 The Meadows Parkway.
The Meadows opened in Fall 1987 at a cost of $3,229,741 and sits on a tract of land that covers slightly more than 11 acres (45,000 m2). From 1987 to 2007, The Meadows was an intermediate school that served grades five and six. As part of a district-wide grade realignment plan that goes into effect at the beginning of the 2007-2008 school year, it will become an elementary school serving students in grades pre-kindergarten through five.

As of the 2005-2006 school year, The Meadows had a total of 575 students (81.9% African American, 7.1% White, 9.9% Hispanic, 0.9% Asian, and 0.2% Native American).
Based on the accountability ratings released by the Texas Education Agency on August 1, 2006, The Meadows is currently rated "Academically Acceptable".
All students from The Meadows Elementary attend DeSoto East Middle School.[1]
In the 2005-2006 school year, DeSoto ISD began a mandatory school uniform policy at all of its schools.
